So, one thing you will come to learn about me while reading my reviews is that I am pretty easy going with the products I buy and try out. I’ll try pretty much anything that my bank account allows me to. A while back I was able to splurge, and I bought a ton of bareMinerals products. I will have to review those another day, because I did buy quite a few different things. But from what I have tried I’ve really liked their products. Anyways to the point, I recently signed up for Ipsy, because I love getting random beauty products in the mail every month. I have five new products to review because of this.
The product that intrigues me the most this month is the bareMinerals Gen Nude Matte Liquid Lipcolor. The color I got is Swag (that name actually made me laugh when I read it), but it comes in sixty different shades (according to the box it came in). I am kind of new at wearing lip sticks. I have a ton, but I tend to be more of a lip balm type of girl. But the fun thing about reviewing products is trying new things!
This is the first matte lipstick I have ever tried. The bottle this comes in is very basic like all of the bareMinerals packaging, but I like that the bottom is clear so you can see the color that you have. When you apply it to your lips it is very smooth, it doesn’t look goopy or sticky. As it dries it gets the matte look which is very popular right now.
For me this color isn’t the best, it is kind of a pink nude type of shade. It surprising doesn’t look awful on me even though it is a type of nude shade. I have a very pale complexion, and most nude colors make me look washed out.
So after about two hours of wearing it, it still feels very soft. It is hard to tell that I am wearing anything at all, which I love. Most lipsticks feel very gritty when you rub your lips together, but this one does not feel like that at all.
This is a great lipstick, especially if you aren’t really used to wearing or if you love the matte look like I do.
I give this product a five out five stars.
Like always please comment if you have anything I need to try or if you have anything to say!
Update: even after wearing for four hours, it still feels soft and looks great!
